| Reindeer have a varied diet during the summer, eating all types of plants. In the winter they mainly eat lichens. Lichens look like small, crusty pieces of moss, but they are actually a fungus and a green algae. Reindeer love carrots and other greens but their favourite is pieces of apple with the skin still on! |
